If you have Maschine and Komplete, that gives Komplete much more of an edge. Absynth 5 is also a great choice for working with custom harmonic content and also does FM. As was mentioned in the first post, no FM synthesis. As for better overall product, that's obviously Komplete since it has a ton of other things while Omnisphere is just a synth. If you you want to do manuliplate ths samples, do resynthesis, and granular synthesis with your own harmonic content, Alchemy is a great choice. Its speciality is a limitless spectrum of unusual, evolving sounds created using the powerful, hybrid synthesis architecture and sophisticated modulation and effect system - resulting in sounds far removed from the everyday. Im a soundtrack guy, I dont know if I can really use this, or wait until Komplete Ultimate goes on sale. I have all the NI synths in Komplete, and I use Alchemy. So much in fact, that I have not been able to thoroughly explore everything indeed, I have barely scratched the surface. Ive been looking at Omnisphere, but I think its mostly GAS. I could go on and on about Komplete, but will instead say that's your best choice if you MUST pick only one. ABSYNTH 5 is an exceptional synthesizer with unique sonic potential and more than 2,100 preset sounds. I wanted Kontact and Reaktor, and also got Massive, Absynth, FM8, Battery, and a bunch of other instruments and effects.

#Absynth 5 vs omnisphere how to
If you know how to work those electric guitar sample libraries like V-Metal guitar and Shreddage II, those with Guitar Rig are very convincing and I prefer the Project SAM orchestral libraries available for Kontakt (Symphobia, Lumina, etc) over EWQL libraries and their "PLAY" format. Kontakt, however, is my choice for sampled sounds, such as pianos, electric basses (most recently, even over Trillian's basses), and third party Kontakt libraries for orchestral and electric guitar sounds are high quality. I could be a matter of taste, but Massive and FM8 are almost useless to me (sounds are like '80's video game sounds and I don't do dubstep) because Omnisphere covers what I need in their area. There are more than 10 alternatives to Absynth for a variety of platforms, including Mac, Windows, Linux, BSD and iPhone. Omnisphere is nearly always my 1st choice for synth sounds over the NI synths. Absynth 5 vs Omnisphere 2/Alchemy/other multi-timbral synths. Absynth is described as ABSYNTH 5 is an exceptional synthesizer with unique sonic potential and more than 2,100 preset sounds and is a Music Production App in the Audio & Music category. Komplete has everything while Omnisphere is really just synths and not much in terms of "real world" sounds.
